Few of the world-famous Bajaj brands include Pulsar, Boxer, RE and Platina. In 2019, Bajaj re-launched the famous Chetak as an electric scooter. The company has also planned another 650 crore manufacturing plant in Chakan. This new manufacturing plant will be exclusively focused on premium motorcycle brands and electric bikes.KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph motorcycles as well as electric vehicles like Chetak will be manufactured at the new location. The new manufacturing plant will commence operations from 2023.

History of Bajaj Auto
The company was established on 29th November 1945. Initially, the company was named M/s Bachraj Trading Corporation Private Limited. Initially, the company was only involved in the import and sale of two and three-wheelers in India. Bajaj Auto obtained a licence in 1959 to manufacture their own two-wheelers and three-wheelers in India. The company also got a license from Piaggio to manufacture Vespa Brand. In 1960, it was declared as a public limited company.
Motorcycles have been manufactured in India since 1986. Since then, Bajaj Auto moved from scooter manufacturers to two-wheeler manufacturers. Bajaj Auto teamed with Triumph Motorcycles in 2017. By 2008, the company was already exporting bikes to 50 countries. The company has also invested around 57 crores in bicycle and electric scooter rental startups. As per the deal, Bajaj will manufacture personalized electric scooters for the startup company named Yulu. Bajaj demerged its company in December 2008. Bajaj Finserv Limited (BFL), Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL), and Bajaj Holdings and Investment Ltd were the three major wings of the main Bajaj team.

Bajaj also tried its hand at low-cost car manufacturing, In 2010, it teamed up with Renault and Nissan motors. The car was priced at 2500 USD and promised to deliver 30 km per hour fuel efficiency. In 2012, they also launched a quadricycle for intracity urban transportation.
Bajaj Auto had also built a successful partnership with KTM AG of Austria. The collaboration has contributed to the worldwide success that KTM premium bikes have garnered. Many KTM models are exported to foreign countries from India.
