Today marks the launch of the BMW M2 in India. This high-performance sports car, featuring a compact two-door, four-seater design, is now available in the country as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model. Powering this exceptional vehicle is a highly potent inline 6-cylinder engine, which works in conjunction with the superb Adaptive M Suspension to optimize road contact and traction in all driving situations.

BMW M2 design:

The BMW M2 commands attention with its aggressive presence, highlighted by the M Frameless kidney grill featuring horizontal bars. Let’s explore the standout features of the BMW M2:

  • Striking Design: The M-typical three-section lower air intake, with its rectangular contours, not only enhances the car’s aesthetics but also optimizes cooling for powertrain components and brakes.
  • Adaptive Lighting: The bold contoured Adaptive headlight units, positioned on the outer edges of the front end, provide enhanced visibility and add to the car’s striking appearance.
  • M Shadow Line Option: The optional* M Shadow Line lights offer a dark tint around the headlamps, further accentuating the car’s sporty character.
  • Racing-Inspired Elements: The flared side skirts and muscular wheel arches contribute to the BMW M2’s distinct look, inspired by racing cars.
  • Aerodynamic Mastery: The optional M Carbon Roof not only lowers the car’s center of gravity but also increases control with its aerodynamic design.
  • Staggered Wheel Configuration: With a staggered 19″/20″ wheel setup, the BMW M2 exhibits a graceful presence, while the option to upgrade to 19/20″ Alloys style 930 M Jet Black is available.

  • Versatile Cargo Space: The rear backrest, with a 40:20:40 split, allows for flexible storage options, accommodating long items of luggage when necessary. With the backrest upright, the all-new BMW M2 offers 390 litres of boot space.

The standard M interior trim strips in Aluminium Rhombicle anthracite inject the cabin with a sporting panache. The optionally available M interior stripes in Carbon Fibre are specified, and the shift paddles and trim on the M leather steering wheel will have a CFRP finish.

BMW M2 comes with an optional 6 Speed Manual.

The car is equipped with Adaptive M-Specific Suspension, M Sport Differential, M high-performance compound brakes that guarantee an outstanding driving experience. The BMW M2 offers three drive modes: comfort-oriented, sports-focused, and track optimized. These modes, namely EFFICIENT, SPORT, and SPORT PLUS, allow drivers to adjust the engine’s characteristics. Additionally, selecting the COMFORT, SPORT, or SPORT PLUS chassis mode provides access to three settings for the electronically controlled dampers.

The M2’s exhaust system features an innovative flap concept. Electrically controlled flaps positioned before the rear silencer minimize exhaust backpressure, optimizing efficiency while delivering a distinct and unmistakable BMW M sound throughout the rev range.
