People planning to buy a new car now have safety ratings as their priority. Everyone considers adult safety rating as their priority. But today we are going to tell you about the cars which got 4 and 5 stars in Global NCAP for adult safety but have 4 and 5 stars in child safety ratings as well.

Let’s have a look at these

1. Skoda SLAVIA and Volkswagen VIRTUS

These are C-Segment sedans and have one of the most powerful engines in the segment, producing 150 BHP  and 250 Nm torque with their turbos. These sedans score 5/5 in both child and adult safety ratings and are one of the safest sedans in the country.

 

 

2. Skoda KUSHAQ and Volkswagen TAIGUN

These are like big brothers to the Slavia and Virtus and offer the same mechanical safety and protection with a 5-star rating in both adult and child occupants. The competition is mainly with the segment leader Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos but the shift in trend towards safer cars has resulted in a shift towards the Germans.

 

3. MAHINDRA XUV 700

The price starts from Rs. 13 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base model. It has a 4-star rating in child safety and a 5-star rating in adult occupancy and has one of the most powerful diesel engines in the segment, having 185 BHP of power and 400 Nm torque.

4. TATA PUNCH

From a starting price of Rs. 5 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is one of the safest hatchbacks in the country that one can own. It is powered by a 1.2L engine which has decent performance and apart from that, it has a 4-star rating in child safety and a 5-star rating in adult occupancy.

5. Mahindra XUV 300

It is the second safest SUB 4m compact SUV and has the most powerful diesel engine in the segment which produces massive 300 Nm torque. It offers a 5-star rating in adult safety and a 4-star rating in child safety.

 6. Mahindra THAR

With a 4 Star child safety rating and a 4-star in adult safety as well. It has been a huge step up from its predecessor and now it is even available in a 4×2 version as well which is decently capable off the road.

 7. Honda City

Honda City being the segment leader for more than a decade is not behind in providing safety after German rivals after Virtus and Slavia. Recently it received a facelift as well which introduced some segment-first features like ADAS etc. It is powered by the VTEC engine which produces 121 BHP and 145 Nm torque.

 8. TIGOR

This sub-4 m compact sedan provides safety and comfort. It mainly competes with Maruti Dezire, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze. It has a variety of powertrains like Petrol, CNG, and an EV to lure its customers along with 4 stars in adult and child safety.
