Exterior and Features

According to the spy shots, the Kia Seltos facelift will sport a revised front grille design. However, in our opinion, this new design is not as appealing as the current tiger nose grille found in the previous model. We feel that Kia has compromised the front design, resulting in an unimpressive appearance. Nonetheless, we appreciate the inclusion of the X-Line trim’s alloy wheels, which enhance the overall aesthetic.

Customers may find the new taillight design, which draws inspiration from the Carens model, to be another disappointing change that does not complement the Seltos and may not receive a favourable response. However, the facelifted model will offer customers notable features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), updated UVO connect features, and other enhancements. Further updates on the features will be provided after the anticipated official launch in the first week of July.

Engine and Transmission

Kia has discontinued the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine present in the current model. Instead, the updated Seltos in India will feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, along with the existing powertrain options. It is likely that Kia will offer a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with the new turbocharged petrol engine.

Improvements in Safety

As of now, there is no specific information available regarding safety enhancements in the facelifted Seltos. However, Kia has been proactive in prioritizing safety features in its vehicles, and it is possible that the facelifted model will come with improved safety measures. We encourage you to share your opinions on this matter in the comments section.
