Maruti Suzuki Alto launched the BS6 CNG variant of Auto hatchback in India which claims a fuel efficiency of 31.49 km per kg. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 796cc 3-cylinder petrol mill, delivering 47PS/69Nm, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Alto comes in four variants – STD, LXI, VXI, and VXI+.

KWID vs ALTO SAFETY
In terms of safety both Kwid and Alto offer one airbag- Driver and both the cars offer seatbelt warning. Kwid and Alto both have engine immobiliser whereas Kwid also has speed sensing door lock and child safety lock. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution ( EBD) is available in both Kwid and Alto whereas brake assist (BA) is only available for Alto. Both Alto and Kwid have rear parking sensors too.
KWID V/S Alto INTERIOR and EXTERIOR
The Kwid is loaded with more equipment than Alto. The Alto simplicity oriented approach is nowhere close to the amount of the equipment Kwid packs.
Kwid on the exterior side offers the chrome front grille, arched roof rails, chrome accents in the headlamp lens, body-colored bumpers, and wheel arch.
