The fifth generation Lexus RX has launched in India at Rs. 95.80 lakhs in India. Lexus showcased the SUV at the Auto Expo 2023 alongside some other cool stuff. This time no other luxury car maker presented anything except Lexus.

2023 Lexus RX powertrain Choice
The fifth-generation Lexus RX is available with two variants namely RX350h Luxury and RX500h F-Sport Plus. It has an all-wheel-drives configuration as standard on all the variants. Lexus offers the RX350h Luxury with a 2.5-litre Naturally aspirated engine that generates 250 HP of power and 242 Nm. This variant comes mated to the e-CVT transmission and can go 0-100 Kmph in 7.9 seconds. A claimed top speed of 200 Kmph can be achieved on the RX 350h Luxury.
Those who are crazy for performance can get the RX500h F-Sport Plus 2.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 371 HP of power and 460 Nm of torque. Unlike the base variant, there is a 6-speed Automatic gearbox on offer with this top variant of the RX SUV. Lexus claims that it can do 0-100 Kmph in 6.2 seconds and the top speed of the F-sport Plus variant is 210 Kmph. Both the engines come with different capacities of electric motors where the RX350h gets a 259.9V battery and the RX500h gets a 288V battery.

The fifth generation Lexus RX gets different choices of premium sound systems which include Mark and Levinson and also Panasonic sound system. Lexus offers a 14-inches touchscreen infotainment system that supports both android auto and Apple Car Play connectivity. This luxury SUV has Lexus Safety Plus 3.0, Direct4Drive force technology and HEV.
Pricing Rivals of the RX SUV
This luxury SUV rivals many luxury cars like the Mercedes GLE, Jaguar F-Pace, Jeep Grand Cherokee, etc. Lexus offers the RX 350h Luxury at Rs 98.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, India) and the top Variant RX500h F-Sport Plus at Rs 1.18 crores (ex-showroom, India).
