On 5th February 2021, the new updated Ghibli was launched in India, with a 580hp, V8 Trofeo flagship variant and also a four-cylinder mild-hybrid engine.

Maserati Ghibli is launched in India with prices starting from Rs 1.15 crore for the new Ghibli Hybrid and going up to Rs 1.93 crore ( ex-showroom, India) for the high-performance Trofeo.

The Entry-level Ghibli Hybrid introduced in three variants – Base, Granlusso and Gransport.

The 2021 Maserati Ghibli comes with soft closing doors, a small addition that uplifts the premium experience.

Once inside, save for the new dials, the dashboard layout remains similar to the pre-facelift model. 

The 2021 Ghibli also gets new features such as connected car tech, powered tailgate with kick sensor, and level-2 autonomous driving technology.

The 2.0-litre hybrid powertrain develops 330PS and 450Nm. It’s the least powerful model in the current Ghibli lineup, but it does the 0-100kmph sprint in a quick 5.7 seconds.

The brakes, which are Brembo units, come with a regenerative braking function to recuperate charge into the battery pack. 

Maserati Ghibli offers a choice of three engine options – a familiar 3.0-litre V6 putting out 430hp and the new entry-level 2.0-litre four-cylinder mild-hybrid and 3.8-litre V8 from the Trofeo.

The biggest update in Ghibli is the central touch screen which is upgraded from an 8.4-inch unit to a higher resolution 10.1-inch unit with a new interface.

Maserati is also offering its Maserati Connect connected technology with the updated system allowing the owner to remotely control in-car functions via their smartphones and even via Google and Amazon Alexa voice assistant.

The instrument cluster of Ghibli is revised too.

Maserati has made changes to the exterior of Ghibli as a part of its MY2021 update. 

Design changes are minute so one could easily miss the new blacked-out slatted grille replacing the chrome slatted unit of the previous model.

The LED headlamps now feature adaptive functionality. They are claimed to offer 200 percent better illumination than before. 

The silhouette and rear-end design are similar and the redesigned LED tail lamps that look more angular now.
