Royal Enfield will soon bring an updated version of the Himalayan to rival the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure and the BMW G310 GS. There are some possible upgrades that the brand may bring in the Himalayan 450. What upgrades the manufacturer will bring in the upcoming Motorcycle? 1. More Powerful Liquid Cool Engine
The Himalayan 411 currently generates 24.3 BHP of power and 32 Nm of torque in the current engine. As per the reports, there would be a slight increase in the power with the launch of the new model of the Himalayan. One can expect that the power output would be 40 BHP of power and 40 Nm of torque from the motorcycle. The new model of the Himalayan will also get the option of liquid cooling which will ensure better management of heat over the current model. Royal Enfield may also introduce a 6-speed gearbox for better performance from the bike.
2. USD Forks on the Himalayan 450
There are speculations that the bike may come with USD forks in the upcoming model. Any bike that gets USD Forks gets better in terms of handling. Currently, there are Telescopic forks on offer with the current model of the bike. In the rear, Royal Enfield will offer a mono-shock suspension setup. Although, we believe that Dual shock would have been better for an adventure bike like the Himalayan.
3. New Extra Features on the Bike
Royal Enfield will bring an upgraded instrument cluster on the bike with a navigation setup on the upgraded model. There is a greater probability that the upcoming bike will feature Bluetooth connectivity for the instrument cluster. Some of the other plethoras of features also include full LED lightning and a taller windscreen to counter wind resistance.
