Maruti Suzuki has most of the top-selling cars in India, and that is because it has many brand-loyal customers and also that they produce the most reliable car which is also low in maintenance, and this year to Maruti has sold the utmost number of cars. Maruti Swift

The cost of this car in the Indian market is around Rs. 5.19 to 8.02 lakhs and this car is really durable. It is also one of the consistent cars in the Indian market and has sold around 211,840 and more cars this year.

Maruti Alto 

Second, on the list of top 10 selling cars in India is also a Maruti Suzuki car and it is the Maruti Alto, brand loyal customers love this car. It has been running on Indian roads for quite some time now and is still going strong, all thanks to its strong and durable design. This Maruti Suzuki Alto is a five-seater hatchback and is powered by a 796-cc petrol engine which effectively churns out a power of 48 bhp along with a torque of 69 Nm. On top of that, the new Maruti Suzuki Alto also comes with a BS6 compliant which helps to boost the car’s fuel efficiency to 22.05 kmpl.

This Grand i10 Nios is an upgraded and facelifted model of Hyundai Grand i10, and it is one of the most selling cars because it offers a wide range of options to choose from as it has multiple variants, powered by both petrol and diesel engine and it is the customers pick as to what they want to buy.

To say the least, both the offered engine is very efficient because when on one hand the 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine produces a power of 81 bhp along with a torque of 114 Nm which also comes with BS6 compliant. And on the other hand, there is the 1.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which produces a power of 74 bhp along with a torque of 190 Nm. This Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is powered by a 998-cc petrol engine which produces a power of 67 bhp along with a torque of 90 Nm. The cost of this car in the Indian market is around Rs. 4.66 lakh although the price may vary, and Maruti has sold more than 100,000 cars of this model. 

Hyundai Creta

On sixth of the top 10 selling cars in India is the Hyundai Creta. Hyundai came through one again with a reliable and long-lasting car to compete against Maruti who had dominated the market this year. This Hyundai Cetra is one of the most selling cars in India is because of not only its great looks and features but also because of its efficient engine.

The Hyundai Creta offers the customers multiple different kinds of engine, one that is a 1.5-litre standard petrol engine that produces a power of 112 bhp along with a torque of 144 Nm which comes along with CVT, another one is a 1.4-litre turbo GDI petrol engine that produces a power of 138 bhp along with a torque of 242 Nm and it also comes with seven-speed DCT. And not only that it also offers a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces a power of 113 bhp along with a torque of 250 Nm. On the seventh position of the top 10 selling cars in India is Hyundai Venue. It has a total of 14 variants and has become one of the most selling cars in India. It has multiple engine options; one is a 1.0 litre Kappa GDI petrol engine and a 1.2 litre Kappa Trims petrol engine. And along with that, it has a diesel engine option that is a 1.4 litre U2 CRDi diesel engine. 

Maruti S Presso

Maruti comes through again to dominate the market with this micro-SUV and it first came out in October 2019, and it is still one of the top 10 selling cars in India. It has a 21 to 22 kpl fuel efficiency, it is powered by a 1.0 litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 67 horsepower and a torque of 90 Nm, a sturdy and sporty look to it, it also has a lot of safety measures like dual airbags, ABS with EBD and the seatbelts limits force and is pre-tensioner. 

Maruti Dzire

On the ninth position is another one of Maruti Suzuki’s and it is the Maruti Dzire. And this is an already existing model that has gotten a facelift and still going strong in the market making it one of the most selling cars in India. The new Dzire with the facelift is powered by a 1.2-litre K12C dual jet petrol engine which will produce 82 horsepower along with a torque of 113. And Maruti has sold more than 100,000 cars of this model.  

Tata Tiago 

Last but not least is the Tata Tiago, the car has had two facelifts and has come out as better than the last, each time, making it one of the top 10 selling cars in India and giving competition to Maruti. This Tata Tiago is powered by an 1199 cc petrol engine which efficiently churns out a power 84 bhp and it comes with manual transmission. 

The Tata Tiago’s price starts from Rs. 4.85 lakhs in the Indian market and Tata has sold around 86,000 or more cars of this model.
