TOP 3 BEST-SELLING CARS FROM EACH BRAND IN FEBRUARY 2023

Since the beginning of year 2023 , Top 10 cars achieved sales of 154k units in the month of January and 151k units in February.

There has been some drastic changes in the positions.

Let us look at the Top 3 Best-Selling Cars in February 2023 from each Brand across Indian automotive market. 

1. Maruti Suzuki:- 

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) managed to secure 3 out of the top 5 positions with their best seller in the segment. These are 

 

  • Maruti Suzuki Baleno ( 47.91% YoY and 13.66% MoM )
  • Maruti Suzuki Swift R  ( -4.11% YoY and 12.00% MoM )
  • Maruti Suzuki Alto ( 56.82% YoY and -15.40% MoM )

 

Baleno showed a positive growth in its sales but the Swift recorded a degrowth. Since the degrowth is minimalistic, let’s hope for some positive numbers in March 2023. 

2. TATA:- 

Tata motors recorded a massive sales of 81k units being sold in the first month of the new calendar year but in the month of February, Sales declined by 2k sales and achieved 79k sales mark. They managed to secure the number 7 position in the top 10 list. Let us see which are the top selling products from this Indian manufacturer.

 

  • Tata Nexon ( 13.50% YoY and -10.62% MoM )
  • Tata Punch  (16.44% YoY and -6.97% MoM)
  • Tata Tiago  ( 66.12% YoY and -17.44% MoM)

 

All the 3 models from TATA motors have a positive growth rate on a YoY basis, thus having a good number of sales but the massive growth has been shown by the Tiago as it is killing in its competition by providing extremely strong built quality and comfort.

 

3. Hyundai:- 

Hyundai Motors India Limited recorded a decline in the sales in the month of February  and still manages to score a position in the top 10 sales mark with its segment king, the Creta. Let’s look at the top selling product offered by the Korean manufacturer.

 

  • Hyundai Creta ( 8.48 % YoY and -30.6% MoM )
  • Hyundai Venue  ( -2.11 % YoY and -6.90% MoM)
  • Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS  ( 12.66% YoY and 9.99% MoM)

 

All the 3 models from this OEM offers a good comfort space and quality along with features. Though the competition is tough, Creta still manages to secure a good position in the SUV category. 

 

4. Mahindra:- 

Mahindra , an Indian brand which has evolved drastically. The inclination of Indian customers towards this brand has been so much that it gives a tough competition and long waiting periods. Their products have a waiting period of about 6-8 months. and the most waiting period can be seen on the XUV 700 and the SCORPIO N. The top seller of Mahindra’s are :

 

  • Mahindra Bolero ( -11.44% YoY and 14.09% MoM)
  • Mahindra Scorpio( 166.28% YoY and -20.25% MoM)
  • Mahindra Thar (-1.34% YoY and 13.47% MoM)

The all new Scorpio has achieved a massive 166.28% YoY growth but a degrowth as well in the sales mark whereas the Bolero and Thar had a little amount of degrowth on a YoY basis but these both have a good MoM increase in the sales.
