Skoda India has introduced the Slavia Matte Edition to the Indian market, boasting several changes designed to captivate a wide range of buyers. Let’s explore these modifications in detail.

1. New color option on the Slavia Matte edition

The Skoda Slavia Matte Edition instantly grabs attention with its sportier aesthetic. While many car owners often opt for aftermarket customization to change their vehicle’s exterior color, Skoda has addressed this by offering an intriguing matte finish. This fresh color option provides a unique choice for those seeking to deviate from the standard palette.

2. The 10-inch Infotainment System

The semiconductor chip shortage temporarily led to the discontinuation of the 10-inch infotainment system in the Ambition and Style Variants. However, Skoda has now reinstated the 10-inch screen in the Style Variant, delighting customers. Additionally, the car comes equipped with a subwoofer, promising an immersive audio experience. The Ambition Variant still features the 8-inch unit implemented during the chip shortage.

3. Footwell illumination

Skoda has incorporated a cosmetic update to the Slavia by introducing footwell illumination in the cabin. Amid escalating competition, Skoda continues to offer new features to remain competitive. The footwell illumination is particularly beneficial during nighttime drives, providing essential cabin lighting.

4. Power Adjustable front seats

Electric seats, a premium feature present in many compact and premium sedans in India, have gained popularity. Skoda acknowledges this trend and now offers power-adjustable front seats in higher Slavia variants. This feature is bound to attract a significant number of buyers, as it allows both the driver and passenger to effortlessly adjust their seat positions.

5. Price on the Skoda Slavia Matte edition

Buyers interested in the new Matte Edition will need to allocate an extra Rs. 40,000 for this variant. As a result, the sedan’s price range now spans from Rs. 10.89 lakh to Rs. 19.12 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). Notable competitors for the Slavia in the sedan segment encompass models such as the Ciaz, City, Virtus, and Verna.

In summary, Skoda’s Slavia Matte Edition brings a fresh matte color option, reintroduces the 10-inch infotainment system with a subwoofer, adds footwell illumination, and includes power-adjustable front seats in select variants. These changes cater to the evolving preferences of Indian car buyers, ensuring that Slavia remains competitive in the market.
