A range of new upcoming 7 seater SUVs is set to make their debut in the Indian market in 2021. There is no denying that the year 2020 can’t be reset and was a step back for many manufacturers, but 2021 seems to be promising for SUV enthusiasts. Because your favourite brands have been caught testing many times. 

Here is a list of upcoming 7-seater SUVs that are set to be launched in the Indian market this year. Take a look:

HYUNDAI ALCAZAR

The all-new Hyundai Alcazar, which is a 7-seater version for Creta, is set to be launched in the Indian market in the upcoming months. 

It competes with the New Tata Safari, MG hectors Plus and the upcoming Mahindra XUV 500.

Offered with a 6-7 seat layout, this new model will be 30mm longer compared to regular Creta. Therefore, it is said to create space to lodge the third row of seats. It has a flatter roof, extended rear overhangs & will ride on a 20mm longer wheelbase.  

The Hyundai Alcazar SUV is expected to come with two-engine choices – a 113bhp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel & a 138bhp, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol.

NEW MAHINDRA XUV500

Mahindra has confirmed the launch of the new-gen XUV 500 in the second quarter of this year. This new model is likely to have a wide space cabin with a layout of 6-7 seats. The dual-screen on the dashboard is said to be inspired by Mercedes followed by touchscreen & instrument console.

The new generation Mahindra SUV is expected to come with two engine options – a new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol & a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel.

NEW MAHINDRA SCORPIO

The new Mahindra Scorpio is set to make its pre-Diwali debut this year. The model has everything new, starting from the interiors, size and seat layout. 

It underpins the new Thar and is expected to come with a panoramic sunroof, engine start/stop button, brand new instrument console, latest multifunction steering wheel, and a big touchscreen infotainment system. 

It will provide a new 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, with an offering of 152bhp power. The diesel version will come with a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine, which could offer the power of 158bhp.

JEEP H6 7-SEATER

The new 7-seater SUV based on a compass platform has confirmed its launch in 2021 with several modifications making it a rage amongst Jeep lovers. The new model will compete with Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.

It is modified with a longer wheelbase to accommodate extra space for the third row of seats. It will have a new dashboard design and a larger touchscreen infotainment system

It will be powered by a 2-litre twin turbo-diesel engine, which could offer a power of around 200bhp and over 400Nm of torque.

MAHINDRA BOLERO NEO

Mahindra will likely be offering an updated version of the TUV300 SUV. 

It looks like the new version of Mahindra Bolero Neo shares similarities with its old version. However, it is likely to have an upgraded cabin and some design changes, including a revised dashboard layout and updated central console with a new touchscreen infotainment system. 

This modified version will be powered by a BSVI compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine producing around 100bhp power & 240Nm of torque.
