1) SSC Tuatara

The SSC Tuatara is officially the world fastest car, with a top speed of 532.93 kmph. This hypercar was developed by US-based SSC North America which clocked an average speed of 508.73 kmph for two consecutive hours. This car can be yours for just $1.6 million.

Matching with the parameters set by the Guinness Book of World Records – the top speed run took place over a stretch of 11.26 km on State Route 160 outside of Las Vegas.

The SSC Tuatara runs on a 5.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine producing a 1750PS of outright grunt with E85 fuel, paired to a 7-speed AMT gearbox.

Helped by the carbon-fibre bodywork it gives it a weight of only 1,247kg and a drag coefficient of 0.279.

It is the Fastest Flying Mile on a Public Road at 503.92 kmph and is also the Fastest Flying Kilometer on a Public Road at 517.16 kmph

Unfortunately, the SSC Tuatara speed record is under some controversy as some claimed it’s an edited video. Whereas Jerod Shelby, SSC CEO stated that the company would attempt another top speed run with the Tuatara soon.

SSC is the most ambiguous automaker in the world. The company was formed in 1998 with just 24 employees. The company was formerly called Shelby Super Cars Inc which inspired its current name.

2) Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut holds a top speed of 330 mph-531 kmph which makes it the second on the World Fastest Cars 2021 list. 

The Jesko Absolut is the Swedish car manufacturer’s fastest-ever production and also the second fastest car overtaking the Hennessey Venom F5 as well as the famous Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+.

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is built with the world’s lightest V8 crankshaft which weighs just 12.5kg, its twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces amazing power with more efficiency to crank out 1,280 hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque.

With key safety features like a standard backup camera, front and rear parking sensors and a Surround-view camera, pricing for the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut starts at $3 million USD.

3) Hennessey Venom F5

Hennessey Performance Engineering previously had owned the top spot of World Fastest cars. The Venom F5 claimed a top speed of 301 mph; the Venom F5 utilizes a carbon fibre chassis and is powered by a 7.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 good for 1,600 horsepower.

The Hennessey Venom F5 has surpassed the Venom GT which previously held the company’s top speed record with 270 mph. The hypercar is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine named “Fury” because it delivers at 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 lb-ft of torque.

Without electric motors or direct drive, the Hennessey Venom F5 can go from 0-60 mph in less than 2 seconds.

The base price for the Hennessey Venom F5 sports car is $1.8 million USD.

4) Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+

In August 2019, Bugatti topped the formerly reigning Hennessey Venom F5. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ was the first hypercar to break the 300 mph barrier, with a top speed of approximately 305 mph – 491 kmph.

Bugatti has been one of the auto industry’s biggest names and it’s no surprise they only make record-breaking productions.

The luxury sports car which is slated to hit the dealerships in 2021 it is powered by a W16 8.0-litre engine which in turn produces 1,600 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,180 lb-ft.

Pricing for the Chiron Super Sport 300+ starts from €3.5 million EUR which is approximately $4.1 Million USD.

5) Koenigsegg Agera RS

Koenigsegg Agera RS wore the proven VMAX crown with an average top speed of 278 mph.

Koenigsegg had two high-speed runs (in opposing directions) on an 11-mile stretch of road on November 4, 2017, outside Las Vegas which was organized by the Nevada Department of Transportation. 

The average pace and including one run at 285 mph was recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records.

The Koenigsegg Agera RS, with the help of a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, produces 1,176 horsepower and 940 lb-ft of torque. Its horsepower can reach a maximum of 1,360 horsepower and torque of 1,000 pound-foot.

With the help of the traction-limiting rear-wheel-drive setup and 7-speed paddle-shift transmission, the Agera RS can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 278 mph (447 km/h).

6) Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport holds the Guinness World Records as the fastest street-legal production car in the world with a top speed of specifically 268 mph – 431 kmph.

In 2021 Veyron Super Sport remains one of the world fastest cars.

This hypercar features an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine which cranks out 1,200 hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque at 3000-5000rpm.

SuperSport can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in exactly 2.5 seconds. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport can be yours at a base price of $2 million USD.

7) Bugatti Chiron Sport

Yet another Bugatti on the list of World fast cars, it shows that the French car manufacturer remains consistent with its production of some of the world’s best performance cars.

The mid-engine two-seater supercar features an 8.0-litre W16, accompanied by four turbochargers with a power output of 1,479 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque.

The Bugatti Chiron Sport can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.3 seconds and from 0-124 mph in 6.5 seconds and with a top speed of 261 mph- 420 kmph.

Pricing of Bugatti Chiron Sport starts from 2.4 million Euro.

8) Aston Martin Valkyrie

The Aston Martin Valkyrie was produced with an F1 suspension and a one-piece carbon-fibre body. Powered by a 6.5-litre Aston Martin’s V12 engine which produces 1,130 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque.

The supercar is able to reach a top speed of 250 mph – 402 kmph, with 0-60 mph acceleration time set at 2.6 seconds.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie starts at a base price of a whopping $3.2 million.

9) McLaren Speedtail

The McLaren Speedtail supercar features a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine with a power output of 1,036 horsepower and 848 lb-ft of torque.

McLaren claims the sports car can accelerate from 0-186mph in a blink of 12.8 seconds. McLare top speed is 250 mph- 402 kmph.  It is one of the fastest productions in the World Fastest Cars.

This supercar costs around £2.1 million.

10) Bugatti Centodieci

The Bugatti Centodieci was prepared for Bugatti’s 110th birthday with only 10 units planned to be produced.

This hypercar is set to increase Bugatti’s stock in the auto market, it supports an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine with a power output of 1,578 hp at 7000rpm and a maximum torque of 1,180 lb-ft.

It will make the car sprint from 0-60 mph in a quick 2.3 seconds with a top speed of 236 mph- 380 kmph.

With only limited units the price of the Bugatti Centodieci is set at $9.4 million USD making it also one of the most expensive cars in the world.
